Thanks :)
Yep, 20. I had 21 just a month ago, but one passed away. I don't even know why. He took off his shell, and I moved him into an iso tank with all the shells I have, and he died :(
No you can't breed them in captivity. You'd need a large tank (90 Gallon or so) - half water and half sand. The water part must be real salt water and you'd need a wave maker in the water. And the tank needs to be warm...otherwise they wont mate. And the eggs wont hatch. Thanks!

Very interesting, does that mean that the hermit crabs we find in salt water actually are the same hermit crabs as we keep as pets!?

Very interesting post full of info, mind if I move it into its own thread on hermit crabs? Its very informative, not sure if someone would actually find it posted here in the introduction thread if they are looking for info on hermit crabs though.

Thats awesome! Would you rather me just leave this here and you post Hermit Crab info in the other animals thread, or would you like me to move this post there? Your the author, its totally up to you :)

Not sure. You're the Admin, you decide :D
If you move this to a seperate topic, can I stilll post the whole care sheet?
