I thought I would share a pic of my new Pachydactylus Carinatus that I picked up at a show this weekend. I picked up a pair that looks to be 1.1 but are still to young to tell for sure. These are my first Pachys and they are very cool little geckos. Im sorry for the quality of the picture but these guys are small and fast so I just tried to snap a picture of one sitting on the side of the glass. They are very easy to care for they like it hot and dry. The breeder that I picked them up off of told me that you just need to stack up some slate one side of their enclosure and put a basking light on that end with a high around 90-95 and that is all that is to it. These little guys love to hide in the crevices that were created by the rock pile.

For anyone who is curious how big these guys actually are now, Id say they probably weigh somewhere around a half a gram and are about a half the size of a newly hatched leopard gecko.

Very nice Pachydactylus Carinatus, watch out Pachy's are addicting.

You have any rock dwelling pachys or do you just have ground dwelling ones? Im still trying to deside how to set up these guys final home. I have them in a 5.5 right now but realized that there is not enough room to have a day and night light on a 5.5. My reptile room is 65-68 degrees so im pretty sure they will need something at night, I have them in the warmest room in my house right now were they have their basking spot during the day but are still down around 75 at night

I just have ground dwelling Pachy's right now, I still use rocks (granite) in their cages. I am getting some arboreal Pachy's soon. I am interest to see what they are like, I am getting some of the first C.B.'s available from that species. I have my punctatus, which are smaller, in a ten gallon. I only had ten gallons available at the time, they don't need that much room.

C.B.s from which species? If your looking for CB Carinatus I can introduce you to the guy I got mine from I know that he had quite a few at the show over the weekend. PM me for details if your interested, he actually breeds quite a few different Pachys

I am getting some P. caraculicus, they look really good as hatchlings. I get most of my geckos from the same person, he breeds a lot of species.

That P. carinatus looks very good. Pachydactylus are some of my favorite geckos.

Was playing around and learning with my new camera, thought Id share another pic of my pachy, the pic is slightly out of focus, but I still thought it was kind of cool.
